Our journey with the TCF exam and why we built this platform
Our Story
The name Ouizami is a blend of two essential French words: Oui ("Yes") and Ami ("Friend"). It signifies our mission: to be the affirmative, supportive, and efficient partner that helps you say "Yes!" to your Canadian future.
This platform is a testament to the power of shared experience and professional collaboration. I am a French TCF Canada exam coach who successfully used the French pathway to gain my Canadian Permanent Residency. My life partner is an accomplished AI Product Builder and a co-founder of other startups.
We lived together the intensive pressures of exam preparation: the crushing time crunch, the struggle for clarity on my current CLB level, and the fundamental limitations of traditional French coaching. While I learned countless concepts and vocabulary, I struggled to consistently produce language under pressure—a common issue that leads to weak scores in the Expression Orale and Écrite sections.
We realized that something could be done better. By combining my expertise as a coach and my partner's skill in AI development, we professionally came together to create Ouizami, the AI-supported TCF Canada exam practice web application.
